For a special cooking enjoyment under the open sky.
Now - with our cast-iron cookware - you can enjoy this experience yourself.
The procedure of preparing food directly in a cast-iron pot over the fire have been used for over a several hundred years.
With a Dutch Oven, you cannot only cook, but also roast, fry, braise and even bake.
The pot is placed directly in an hearth or fire place, in the embers or in a fire bowl.
For preparing your food in the Dutch Oven, the pot requires heat from below and especially from above.
For this reason, the pot is placed not only on glowing coals, the coals are put on the lid as well. (The high edge prevents falling down).
The very thick lid of the pot absorbs the heat and forwards it optimally to the inside of the pot.
The inside of the pot lid can be used as a pan or as a serving plate.
On the grill plate, you can roast meat vegetables, fish and so much more.
The surface of the back is smooth - it is suitable for pizza too.
The frying pan and the smaller pot complete the set and enable many further cooking options.
Characteristic for cast iron: Slow heating and retaining heat very long.
The food is prepared very slowly and gently, meat remains tender and juicy.
Bread is baked crispy and you can cook delicious stews.
All meals will be kept warm for a long time.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING YOUR NEW COOKWARE / GRATES
SEASONING of cast iron:
Seasoning prevents rust and creates a non-stick surface.
Our pots are already seasoned, please repeat this procedure if necessary.
1. Thoroughly clean the pot.
2. A light coat of oil is applied (no olive oil).
3. The cookware is placed upside down in an oven above a large pan (to drain for an hour), the pan can now be removed, then the oven set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) and baked for 30 minutes
4. Cookware will need to be re-seasoned frequently.
A proper cast iron seasoning protects the cookware from rusting, provides a non-stick surface for cooking, and prevents food from interacting with the iron of the pan
CLEANING / CARE:
Never clean cast-iron cooking and grilling utensils in the dishwasher and do not use any fat-dissolving or rinsing agents for cleaning!
Simply wiping them out after use, or washing them with hot water and a brush.
A further approach is to scrub with coarse salt and a paper towel or clean rag.
Dry the pot thoroughly.
We recommend re-applying a thin layer of fat or oil.
Thus, retains the patina and prevents rust.
The pot must be stored in a dry place.
Plug a piece of kitchen paper between the pot and lid so that the air can circulate.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Careful maintenance of your cast iron cookware prolongs its service life!
If rust has formed, remove it with steel wool and re-seasoned the pot.
Do not store food in cast iron cookware - this will destroy your non-stick surface and creates rust!
